The election took place in 10 phases from September to December 2021, making it one of the largest rural elections in the country. Voting was held for over 2.5 lakh local posts, including Mukhiya, Sarpanch, Ward Member, Panchayat Samiti Member, and Zila Parishad Member. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, voter participation was high, especially among women and youth.
